These past two weeks have been a vacation for me as well. I got to see my sweet nephew, Gage, who is the sweetest little boy! He is 2 years old now. The last time I saw him was November 2010 when I had to hold him at his Baptism. Trust me, that was NOT easy. Not only was he one at the time, but he swung his legs back and forth making it almost impossible not to drop him! Now, thankfully, he walks but still likes to be carried once in a while. The first thing we did was go to the Mississippi Children's Museum that has the neatest interactive exhibits! They had exhibits about Mississippi, literacy, exercise, nutrition and more.

The next thing we did was go to the Jackson Zoo. Every spring is "baby season" for animals and there was much for show for it!
The third thing we did was take Gage to see the train exhibit at the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Museum. Gage LOVES Thomas the Train, so not only did we get on the train at the zoo, but also the train at the "ag" museum.

This was Rob's favorite part because he got Gage to see what Daddy does for a living!

Lastly, we took him to a big children's park near the children's museum. Lots of volunteers came together to create this and it is NEAT! What I really liked about it was that instead of mulch, shredded rubber tires were used.

Needless to say, we wore him out every day they were here! I also got to bring out the kid in me and get jealous of my brothers new ride!
